PRIMATERIA
The company
Primateria is an AI-native scientific research lab based in Palo Alto. We have raised a Series A and are hiring scientists and engineers to help build the lab.
We believe increasingly capable AI models, paired with scientific tools and grounded by experiments, can autonomously perform much larger portions of research. We are building the system that can make that a reality.
How we work
We work together in person in Palo Alto. Scientists and engineers work closely from choosing a problem to understanding the results.
We use AI agents to run computational experiments, analyze results, and recursively improve methodologies. Our current work includes extending Orbformer, a neural wavefunction model, to molecules containing 3d transition metals. These projects help us understand where agents succeed and fail, informing the tools and evaluations we build to make scientific research more autonomous.
We publish as much of our work as possible so others can inspect and reproduce it.
Compute
Our small team has a dedicated cluster of 68 NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 GPUs for running ambitious experiments in parallel and iterating quickly.
